I’ve been enjoying your podcast for a long time and I’ve especially enjoyed the discussion about the glorious costumes in West Side Story! I would only add this: I think the colors represent where the “sides” are in their immigrant experience. The Jets mostly blend into the urban landscape with their muted colors showing that they’ve completely assimilated into the city. The Sharks (and the other Puerto Ricans), with their bright colors, bring new fire and life to the city. Out of room, so thx!
